This webpage provides various resources for faculty, staff and students to support the college’s brand identity.
Through the links below, you’ll find templates, tips and resources to help faculty, staff and students affiliated with the UF College of Medicine create professional and effective communications. Need help “getting the word out” about an initiative, event or program? We can help you determine the most effective way to do that.
Logos
Unless you have an approved secondary logo for your department, division or unit (you may inquire via a form on the UF brand website), please use the official UF College of Medicine logo. Do not alter this logo in any way, such as distorting the dimensions, cropping, changing the colors or adding/deleting text.
To download the logos, right click on the thumbnail and select “Save Image As.” This logo is an image file and may not reproduce clearly at larger scale in some print materials, however, the logo is already embedded in some of the various materials and templates provided on this page. If you would like an EPS version of the logo for print purposes, please contact the communications team.

Visual abstract templates
Visual abstracts are a visual way, using illustrations, icons and flow-chart graphics, to present the abstract of your research paper. They tend to provide this information in a single “slide,” relying more on imagery than on text to communicate the overall goal and outcomes of your research.
UF Health Communications has prepared a series of templates that will provide a starting point from which you can customize your own visual abstracts for publisher submission, social media posts and more. Each template contains an example along with a generic version you can use to integrate your own data.

Stock photography
Looking for general images that exemplify the UF College of Medicine’s missions of education, patient care, research and service? Below are some photos that can be used in various communications pieces. If you are using the photo in a print piece, make sure you are using a high-resolution file that will not appear blurry. To download high resolution versions of these images, right click on any thumbnail and select Save Image As. Then save the image.

Professional portraits
Any UF Health-affiliated faculty or staff member who needs a new or updated portrait can have one made with an appointment at the Creative Services Production Studio in the Communicore. This is a free service provided by our UF Health Communications team.
Social media
Maintaining a social media channel requires planning, enough resources to devote to frequent updates (a few times a week, minimum), and formal approval from UF Health Communications to become an official account. Launching a channel may not be worthwhile if you are trying to reach a small segment.
A few College of Medicine social media accounts target broader public audiences. Be sure to follow these accounts and share content as you wish.
